Consult innovate create offers a wide range of training workshops. Content and material includes theory, step-by-step processes, tools/techniques, templates and/or interactive hands-on activities that can be adapted to suit the individual learner and their focus area.

Workshops are delivered in a safe and non-judgement environment,  support participation and where possible, participants are encouraged to use their own activities as individual case studies for development.

Most workshops have been designed for a full day and/or 2 hour period however can be tailor designed with aim to target a specific focus, reduced to a shorter timeframe or include more depth to extend.   A '1 day' workshop timeframe is ususally 9am to 4pm however this can be altered as required.

  

1. Community Development and Engagement

Learn the foundations of Community Development, along with the practices and approaches that can be employed; including community engagement, building community capacity, identifying and developing projects/programs and identifuing and planning for community needs.
Duration: 1 day

  

2. Engaging Youth Projects 

This workshop looks at two factors; engaging youth, and designing projects that appeal to young people.  Included is what works, and what doesn’t, along with how to value-add youth projects that aim for personal growth and/or community benefit.
Duration: 1 day

  

3. Event Coordination and Management

With any great event there is likely to have been such time, effort and planning that has happened behind the scenes.  This workshop takes participants through the various components of event planning and management that can contribute to a less stressful event and more successful outcomes.
Duration: 1 day 

  

4. Grant Writing and Management

Grant writing can be a challenging experience and funders seem to be asking for more and more.  This workshop aims to change the way we think about grant writing including tools for improvement, grant application review and points for grant management. 
Duration: 1 day or 2 hour option

  

5. Guiding Good Governance

Good governance is incredibly important for not-for-profit association, in particular those without paid staff, as involves management, compliancy, making and communications. This workshop covers a range of key themes including the constitution; roles and responsibilities; committee meetings; volunteer and member recruitment and retention; and communications.
Duration: 1 day or 2 hour option

  

6. Leadership Development

Centre around an understanding and awareness of leadership styles, practices and elements of effective leadership, this workshop will provide participants the opportunity to assess their own leadership traits along with the value of developing better leadership skills whatever the role may be (i.e. management, committee, community or team leader). 
Duration: 1 day or 2 hour option

  

7. Marketing and Promotion 

Marketing does not have to be an onerous or as difficult as it is sometimes considered.  This workshop assists participants by exploring a range of marketing tools and promotional techniques, assessing currently used methods and working towards developing a more effective marketing strategy that is both realistic and achievable. 
Duration: 1 day

  

8. Project Planning and Management 

Project Planning is not only the foundation of grant applications but is essential for good organisational practices and contributes to identifying the best solution (or identified project) for the specific issue. This workshop takes participants through a step-by-step process whilst explaining the purpose and benefits of building a better project. 
Duration: 1 day or 2 hour option

  

9. R.A.T.E. your Risk 

Risk Management is a key component to good organisational management and planning processes yet is often omitted from planning procedures. This workshop looks at the benefits to identifying risk plus simple strategies and steps that contribute to risk assessment and management. 
Duration: 1 day or 2 hour option

  

10. Simply Succession Planning 

This workshop looks at the need to plan for the long term, and will identify strategies that will ensure your group has a sustainable future.  Included in this workshop is the development of a succession plan, the importance of record keeping and document management, and the need for training and development plans. 
Duration: 1 day or 2 hour option

  

11. Strategic Planning 

Work through a step-by-step framework to development knowledge in the benefits and foundations of Strategic Planning; tools and techniques to make it a simple process, and actions to implement that support the organisation’s vision. 
Duration: 1 day 

  

12. Building Better Teams

Whether it is a community team, organisational team or a team of governance, this workshop looks at ways to improve team work, build rapport, development relationships, gain consensus and promote effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Duration: 1 day or 2 hour option
